You dont need a changing table..they outgrow it way to quick. Also you wont need a high chair till about 5 or 6 months so you can wait and save up a lil more. Also with the safeguards, plates, etc you can wait a bit that way like I said you have some time to save.

Half the stuff on your list I bought and ended up not even using..I think buying a changing table is a huge waste of money..best thing to do is go to a store and register..just walk down the baby section and whatever you would like to get just put it on it..although when buying clothing..don't buy alot of 0-3 my daughter wore maybe 2 outfits other times she was in sleepers..so i would stock up on those..also your dirty diaper bin thats a waste of money also..just take the trash out at the end of the day and you won't need it.

<a href="http://babyhamperstore.com/toocute">Baby Ornaments</a>

Here are some additional thoughts:

Nursery:
Changing pad and pad cover

For the baby:
--Towels, face cloths
--Baby bath / tub for either the big tub or a sink
--Swaddling blanket
--When you say blankets I'm assuming you mean receiving blankets. Get lots of them! They are also great to use as burp cloths
--Nursing pillow
--Nursing bra and pads
--Books - great to read to your baby

To reduce the cash outlay right now you may want to hold off on the plates, cutlery, high chair, food (cheaper to make your own when the time comes) and baby proof things as you won't need these for several months.

I'm so excited for you! Happy shopping, it's tons of fun!!!

Oh, and if I may suggest, don't bother with the dirty diaper pails (e.g. Diaper Genie and Diaper Champ). I went through 2 trying to find one that was a). easy to use and refill and b). didn't smell. Neither of the above mentioned brands did both. So just buy some of the little dirty diaper bags (Toys R Us, they smell pretty and are around a $1) and toss them as you use them.

<a href="http://babyhamperstore.com/gotobaby">Personalized Baby Hamper</a>

I am imagining Emma's room in my head LOL!
One thing I recommend for the room is baskets. Under Emma's changing table I have six baskets, three on each shelf. Each one holds something different. One is for lotion and other hygenic items, one is for diapers and creams, one is for burp clothes and paci's, one if for sheets, one has nail clippers, comb, tylenol, etc. Also get some spot remover (baby dreft spot remover is great) and keep it i the hamper so you can spot as you throw dirty clothes in. Are you planning on getting a bouncy seat that goes on the floor? Emma had one that was like an oval saucer shape and she was able to lay in it from birth. It was a nice place to keep her in the living room. What about burp clothes?

<a href="http://babyhamperstore.com/babyandme">Baby Gear</a>

Ok, First off, take the changing table off your list! People don't use them and they just take up space! You can get a nice thick changing pad that you can put on top of a dresser and change the baby there! Truly the only things you need to bring a baby home is, a car seat, a crib and sheets, bottles if you don't ****** feed, blankets and sleepers!! The rest is just extra's that may make somethings easier, but also can clutter up a home! You don't need a high chair until baby is 6 months old, no solids before then!! Shoes are mean until baby is learning to walk, stair and plug guards aren't needed until baby learns to move!! They sell A LOT of stuff now for babies that are not needed and just fill a house up with crap!!

Go to Babies R Us, Target, etc and register. Even if no one else is going to buy you things, they will give you a list with everything that you could possibly need. Babies R Us list will also say approximately how many you should get. Then as you buy the things you need, the store that you choose will check it off of your list. Their associates can also help you choose your items and explain which item is best for needs.

Oh. . .one item I would add to your list: dirty diaper bags. I find them at Babies R Us. They are blue and have a light powder scent to them. Helps with odor (b/c they will smell even in a dirty diaper bin!).
