No, she may not know what she has to do. Try to put the babies on her nipples, and if she rejects them. feed them with a bottle kitten formula milk from the pet shop and wipe their behind after every feed to stimulate them to ***. And spay your cat.

I can tell from your message that mama is very attached to you. What you may want to do is put the kittens in the same room as you so mama doesn’t have to choose between being with you and being with the babies. This is very normal when your cat is very attached to her human.
My cat Doings (don’t ask, my sister was three when she named her) did the same thing to me. She wanted to be with me more than she wanted to be with her babies. So I had to sit with her during the birthing process and keep her and the babies in my room. Otherwise, Doings would come looking for me.
The good part is the kittens will be well socialized by the time they are ready to be adopted from all of the time they spend with you and because they watch their mommy interact with you. The not so good part is that you are not going to get much sleep from all of the noise from the kittens.

did you touch the kittens before she cleaned them the first time? if you did or when you move them from where she had them some female cats disown their kittens make sure you show her where her kittens are then she should be ok

That’s not normal at all. My cat has had 3 litters and i’ve known so many people’s cats who have had litters and the mother cat usually dosn’t leave their kitten’s side, period. I’d call the vet because the kittens arn’t going to survive without her close by.
